Entrepreneur Angela M. Hutchinson Signs with ICM

as a Producer of Unscripted Television

Beverly Hills, Calif. (January 9, 2015) – Entrepreneur Angela M. Hutchinson confirms that she is signed with one of the big three talent agencies, International Creative Management (ICM). She will be repped at ICM as a producer for unscripted television programming. Hutchinson was also approached simultaneously by William Morris Endeavor for representation, which is the same agency that represents Oprah Winfrey, Adam Sandler, Lady Gaga, and TD Jakes to name a few. According to Hutchinson, she humbly turned down the agency. "I signed with ICM because the agent who wanted to sign me was based in New York, and since I have strong ties to LA, I thought having an East Coast agent would help me expand my network," she says. Last summer, Hutchinson had three reality docuseries concepts that she created optioned by three different production companies: one in New York, one in Los Angeles and one in Canada. Hutchinson's programming slate is in the pitching stage to various television neworks. Hutchinson is also a casting director, film producer, scriptwriter and author. She has cast celebrities such as Vanessa Williams, Lynn Whitfield and other star names in movies. She also produced her first feature film, "Hollywood Chaos," which she wrote and cast, starring Vanessa Simmons and Tyler Lepley with an ensemble cast. The film is set to release on DVD by Breaking Glass Productions on February 17. On the publishing scene, Hutchinson is the author of four books, including her memoir, “Breaking into Hollywood” and three children’s picture books, one is coauthored by her young son.


At the age of 36, Hutchinson is a rising entertainment power player as well as a wife, mother and mentor to many. In 2005, Hutchinson founded BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD (BiH), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the mission of helping creative and business professionals pursue their entertainment careers with integrity, creativity and enthusiasm. Since the organization launched, thousands of artistic professionals have benefited from BiH events, services and products. Under the BiH umbrella, Hutchinson also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Hollywood & Vine magazine, Executive Director of the Hollywood & Vine Film Festival and Publishing Director of Hollywood & Vine Books.


Hutchinson is a Chicago native with a decade of industry experience. She has worked for MGM, Warner Bros. Television, and the Grammy's. She has established relationships with hundreds of power players including agents/managers, film/TV execs as well as both celebrity talent and artists on the rise. Prior to Angela's transition into casting, she worked as a Talent Agent at RPM Talent Agency who TV credits include booking actors on "Ugly Betty," "Zoey 101," "My Name is Earl," "Everybody Hates Chris," etc. While at RPM, Hutchinson repped actors, models, and music artists such as Prodigal Sunn (Wu-tang Clan).

Angela Marie Hutchinson is an alumnus of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's of Science in Engineering degree in Industrial & Operations Engineering. She also has a Cross-Media Journalism certificate from USC and is the former Managing Editor of Valley Lawyer magazine.
