“The Diva and the Princess” (DAP) is an inspirational comedy about a high school girl’s basketball coach who struggles to lead the team to their first championship. Off the court, her life is just as hectic. When her sister dies unexpectedly, she becomes the legal guardian of her prissy, spoiled and home schooled niece. Annoyed by each other’s comedic idiosyncrasies, the two are always at odds. Coach must choose between winning the game of her life or the love of her niece. Through their growing pains, they achieve the greatest victory of all and captivate the true meaning of a “Diva” and a “Princess.”
Slated for production in winter 2010, the DAP star-driven cast will be released when pre-production begins. Individuals who enjoy positive and uplifting films regarding women of power, faith and style are encouraged to revisit this website for details about the film's screening and video release parties. DAP is a coming-of-age story with African American characters that transcends generations and cultures. Portion of proceeds from film paraphernalia will be donated to charities supporting women of color affected by fatal diseases.
